Hi, I'm Diane. At 61 years young, I'm a single mom of 3 adult daughters, and 3 grands. I was born and raised in Philly, though my heritage spans the globe.
I've had some major battles with illness, being a Lupus Warrior. By the Grace of God, what hasn't literally killed me has truly made me stronger! "This battle is not yours, it's the Lord's", has taken new meaning in my life. As The Lord has repeatedly, saved me from death's door, and doing nothing short of miraculous things in my life, giving me testimonies, new perspectives, greater appreciation for life, and a witness before others that is undeniable! I am grateful, thankful, and extremely humbled by God's grace, mercy, and faithfulness toward me.
Among my many blessings were the careers I had in my young adult years. I worked in and with music management and production, building on a childhood passion for music. I met and/or
worked with many noteable local and national artists. The opportunities I had and was able to extend to my daughters, was incredible. The music education they got from reknowned jazz artists, at no cost, I could never have afforded.
As I grew in my faith, and my daughters grew to need more of me at home, I stepped away from the music industry as it was changing and no longer supporting my walk with Christ, nor the example I wanted to set for my girls. I began working at the School District of Phila. as a parent and family advocate and was able to help many families and their children to navigate the school system and be better advocates for their own children.
Having been a single teen mom, I put my social needs on the back burner, feeling like I owed my children the best of me, in order to give them the best opportunities I could. I didn't want them to grow up being statistics, repeating patterns, or falling victim to our circumstances. I made them my sole priority. With the support of my village, and the grace of God, I raised and educated 3 successful black Queens.
Now that my daughters are self sufficient, and my health allows, it's my turn. I have given passionately through the years to youth ministry, youth choir, Sisters in Christ Group, and Christian Education. I have a true love for life and a deep love for God's people. I've always enjoyed socializing, entertaining, hostessing, and making any occasion worthy of a celebration. At this phase of my life, I am seeking that one companion that God has created for me.
I'm looking for a man who loves God as much as I do. A man of God who can appreciate my passion for life, love for the Lord, and still be fun loving, enjoy lots of laughter, and want to spend quality time appreciating the goodness of God that surrounds us. The beach, the water, a picturesque view from a place we've never traveled. A man who would like to, at this age, create new memories doing even the simple things that others take for granted.
I'm a very loving, affectionate lady. I love hugs and cuddles. I also love to be in worship, arms lifted, tears flowing, and giving God the highest praise. I desire to find a man who finds my praise and worship as attractive as the hugs and cuddles. They all comprise who I am.
